The Science Fair Projects Depot: Science Project ideas
How to Do Successful Science Fair Projects
ScienceNerdDepot.com
Projects at science fairs are usually exhibited on three-panel display boards. The key to creating successful science project display boards is planning. Planning, for the most part, is accomplished by making a rough sketch of the project components as they would appear on the display board so you can verify that your presentation will be aesthetically pleasing. The display board should be balanced; none of the panels should have large empty spaces.
One format for a science project display board is given below. The six items listed are the essential ones for any science project. The project title, the hypothesis, and the conclusion have been placed in the center panel because that is what someone viewing your project will see first. The placement of each the items on the display board depends on how the project would be described best.

Other items, that may be necessary for your display board, include the following: variables, controls, experimental groups, control groups, photographs, illustrations, charts, pie charts, line graphs, and bar graphs. However, items that are not necessary to describe your project should be avoided. Inclusion of unnecessary items clutters the exhibit and will detract from the overall
presentation of your project.
